We're still reeling over the news that we will be getting a third Hobbit movie come Summer 2014, but until then, we can look forward to The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hitting theaters this December.
The film promises to thrill audiences with its use of 3D and what better way to showcase that then with special limited edition 3D glasses. One of the hot new trends is for theaters
to give fans the opportunity to get special glasses for 3D movies, usually in limited supply to those attending midnight screenings or on opening day. We saw such promotions with the 3D release of Star Wars The Phantom Menace where fans were treated to 3D glasses shaped like the pod race glasses Anakin wore as well as special glasses designed around our favorite superheroes for the release of The Avengers.
Not to be outdone, Warner Bros and RealD have created special glasses for The Hobbit that look like they were forged in steel. No word yet on how you'll be able to get your hands on these precious specs, but we'll be sure to let you know once we have more info.
