Storyline

It has been roughly eleven years since the cyborg assassin, called a terminator, failed to kill Sarah Connor. Now, Skynet has sent back a new and improved terminator, this time targeting Sarah's ten-year-old son John. In 2029, the future John Connor sends back a reprogrammed terminator to 1995, with the mission to protect his younger self with the same ruthless efficiency that almost ended his mother's life before he was born.

The Director

James Cameron
James Cameron was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada, on August 16, 1954. He moved to the USA in 1971. The son of an engineer, he majored in physics at California State University but, after graduating, drove a truck to support his screen-writing ambition. He landed his first professional film job as art director, miniature-set builder, and process-projection supervisor on Roger Corman's Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) and debuted as a director with Piranha Part Two: The Spawning (1981) the following year.

One of the all-time greats of the balls-to-the-wall action movie genre.

FitFortDanga

Riddled with unanswered questions and gaping plot holes. I lost track of how many times I asked myself "why didn't he just...?", and they don't even bother trying to explain how the T-1000 works. And man, Edward Furlong just sucks. However, if you want some well-crafted action scenes, you could certainly do much worse. Cameron's lust for stylish violence and high-tech weaponry is kind of disturbing, and frankly, the guy sounds like a real dick. But he sure blows stuff up real good.

Stain

It doesn't all work, but a very strong film, especially considering how unpromising a sequel was, artistically speaking

No one could have played a better machine than Arnold, he was born for this role.

A good film in its time.
Spectacular and revolutionary in its time, was the beginning of the great success of the saga. The use of computer special effects quite impressing.
Anyone who has seen it, remember the liquid metal Terminator, or the realistic impact of the bullets.
