Kick-Ass kicks some serious ass. Bordering on colorful and gritty live-action, this is the most memorable superhero movie of 2010.

A solid 7. The scenario mixes classical themes well.

I know I said I like my violence realistic but, here, the slightly over the edge choregraphy works WITH the theme.

And the humour/teenage movie/romcom aspects are all pretty good.

Finally, not since Leon has the small-girl-turned-hit-man worked so well.

Hit Girl FTW

Timmmm

What could easily have been just another crap feel-good teen movie (girl next door, etc) turns out to be actually pretty good!

There are some genuinely funny lines, the action is good, the story is reasonably original and well paced.

This is also the least annoying Nicolas Cage has ever been - he's actually pretty damn good in this film.

Definitely worth watching, especially if you don't want to watch anything heavy.
