a powerful emotional expirience
Spoiler Alert!    Spoiler Alert!    Spoiler Alert!    Spoiler Alert!    Spoiler Alert!    Spoiler Alert!
Sean Patrick Flanery (Powder) is an albino whose mother was struck by lightning right before he was born. The mother died at his birth, his father disowned him, and Powder had to grow up in the basement of his grandparents' house, having to educate himself only by reading the books that wore there.

With a remarkable cast formed of Mary Steenburgen (Jessie Caldwell), Lance Henriksen (Sheriff Doug Barnum) and Jeff Goldblum (Donald Ripley) and a story that resembles that of "The Green Mile" and "Phenomenon", you can only expect a great movie to be born.

Although, in my opinion, the movie does have some dull scenes, but the emotional impact that it produces alone should make anyone love it. This is one of those few movies that I can never forget, and that I always enjoy rewatching.

Sentimental and manipulative as it is I have a strange kind of identification with Powder
