Storyline
Jan Schlickmann is a cynical lawyer who goes out to "get rid of" a case, only to find out it is potentially worth millions. The case becomes his obsession, to the extent that he is willing to give up everything - including his career and his clients' goals, in order to continue the case against all odds. |
One of those rare movies whose main weak point is its star. Travolta is convincing as a mercenary lawyer, but his Saul-to-Paul conversion doesn't convince for a second. Despite that, the supporting cast is so good and the story itself gets into so many not-often-discussed aspects of legal work that this is a good movie
