People are bashing this new version of Total Recall for not being more like the 80's flick that starred Schwartzenegger. Really, this new version far surpasses the original and is more faithful to a Philip K. Dick-esque vision, as opposed to the other one that featured stale, 80's-movie staples like unnecessary one-liners, goofy plots about mutants, and of course, no "Johnnycab" cars for comedic value.
If you've read the original short story, you'll be pleased to know that this version removed all of the ridiculous shortcomings of the 80's adaptation and replaced them with better and more interesting concepts. Great film.
