You think it can't possibly be as bad as they say, but it is. It really is.

Why did you do this to me John Travolta? Why did you allow this adaptation to happen? And how on *earth* did you convince Forest Whitaker to take part in it? I would understand if Uwe Boll directed it. But Roger *Christian*? How does that relate to The Church of Scientology?? Battlefield Earth is a The Room of the science-fiction world. Only more boring and completely unfunny. I'd rather die than watch this film ever again.

Stain

This movie is so badly messed up it achieves a kind of bizarre train-wreck sort of fascination. Note, however, please, that this is NOT a recommendation. It's exactly the kind of film you'd expect from a bunch of Scientologists: deep pockets and no critical thinking skills

Spunkie

Not bad as it's made out to be.

KAH

Believe the hype.
