Roland Emmerich
Roland Emmerich (born November 10, 1955) is a German film director, screenwriter, and producer who works mostly in the disaster and action genres. Good catastrophe movie as far as these things go...

Mostly entertaining but bad screenplay and bad acting makes it a really really bad movie. BUT, the only thing good about this is crazy radio guy Woody Harrelson's epic acting.

This is a terrible film, rife with ridiculously ill-conceived characters, acting, and plot devices. That said, it is often awful in a humorous way, and I was not bored during my lengthy stay in the theatre. Calling it overlong would be an understatement, but at least Emmerich didn't shy away from destroying everything in sub par bouts of CGI madness. I couldn't believe, and I couldn't care, but snickering at this film was a privilege.
