Abject failure. Practically the only good scene is the first one, in that white subway place. The philosophical elements have at this point turned into a complete mess, the great battle of Zion is the most tedious and pointless battle sequence I've ever seen, all the new characters are boring cliches and the old characters are no longer interesting either. Yeah, the special effects are great, but so what?

FitFortDanga

The Matrix series started with a bang and went out with a whimper. Some defend this movie by saying it's supposed to be ambiguous. But I don't think so. I just think the Wachowskis didn't know what to do with it, so they wrapped it up in a bunch of meaningless mumbo-jumbo and let you fill in the numerous blanks.

Like _Matrix Reloaded_ with all the good parts cut out

The final, sad chapter in the Matrix trilogy. A complete letdown with no real resolution, social commentary or message.

Filled with sub-par acting, a mishmash of world philosophies and vague references to religious imagery it served to show only how bankrupt the creativity of the directors had become.

Seriously lacks both the meaning of the first movie and the action and thrills of the second. Visual is a messy chunk of darkness.
