In the late 1970s, just as the glittery disco era was fading away, lead singer Peter Murphy and bandmates donned black clothing and sang gloomily about angst, confusion and Goth movie star Bela Lugosi. These early comers to the Goth-rock scene broke up in 1983 but regrouped for a reunion concert at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.
