Harold RamisNach dem Abschluss eines Studiums an der Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri arbeitete er einige Zeit in einer Nervenheilanstalt und später als Redakteur für die Zeitschrift Playboy. Zeitweise war er Mitglied der Theatergruppe The Second City.
Bekannt ist Ramis vor allem für seine Rolle „Dr. Egon Spengler“ in den Filmen Ghostbusters – Die Geisterjäger und Ghostbusters II, für die er auch mit Dan Aykroyd die Drehbücher schrieb.
Ramis ist seit dem Jahr 1989 mit seiner früheren Assistentin, der Schauspielerin Erica Mann verheiratet und hat drei Kinder, darunter eine Tochter aus seiner früheren Ehe mit Anne Plotkin. Er lebt in Chicago.

Surely this would some kind of exponential effect on me getting sick of watching this movie? Apparently not. thaklos Has an incredibly interesting concept for a romantic comedy, which really lends itself to Murray's cynical persona. There is more subtlety and charm present in this film than is typical of the genre, and it manages to play off stereotypes even as it exemplifies one. I love how this movie is accessible on so many levels, there is an ambiguity that allows you to think about it however you like, an openness not typically present in romantic comedies.
