A fantastic Science-Fiction Adventure
I believe that this is the first movie review I have posted where I have nothing major to say about the flaws in a movie. The only thing wrong in this movie is that some of the alien dialog is not subtitled, but I believe that was intentional.

The entire cast is fantastic and are very believable in their roles. None of the cast, including the minor cast members, feel uncomfortable with their dialog.

The visual special effects is fantastic. After 20 years, the visual effects are still incredible and believable. They are still some of the best in motion picture history.

The make-up is incredible. There are rarely any aliens that look like people in costumes. Those that don't work well are noticeable, but they are mainly in the background and you won't notice them if you are not looking at them.

Overall, this is one of the best science fiction movies of all time. It is a "must have" for any sci-fi fan's video/DVD collection and a "must see" for any one who loves a fantastic adventure movie.

The Jabba sequence and the Ewoks are terrible, and if you think about it the movie is a total rehash of A New Hope. But it does have its moments, including some of the Han/Leia scenes and the Luke/Vader/Emperor battle at the end.

FitFortDanga

The worst of the trilogy. I like everything except the Ewoks and the Jabba opening. Sadly, that accounts for huge portions of the film. It's an endless puppet show. Ewoks aren't funny, interesting, or likeable. They're simply annoying. And the Jabba section takes up far too much time, with an irritating musical number, little plot development, and another parade of puppets. All the interaction between Han & Leia and Luke & Vader is great. But everything else is painfully embarassing.

Derekstar

Some people don't like Jedi, but what can I say? I like it.

Stain

People sneer at the Ewoks, but I've always loved this movie. The prequels make it look even better

Lounge

I could not think of any better family movie. Hard to believe this is nearly 30 years old as the special effects are still stunning!
