Fight hard; Die Hard
Die Hard (1988)

The legendary Die Hard tells the story of a man, who is in the wrong place in the wrong time. He needs to fight off the terrorists, avoid civilian casualties and survive from the police as well.

This is truly on the top of the 'Action' genre, an unique film with fun, easy-to-relate characters, good dialogue for an action movie, and not too many of the "funny, double meaning" one-liners. The setting in an office building works, some high money explosives and effects, as well as great doses of action. Not constant, but doses. It'll keep you on the edge of your seat for most of the time, with you rooting for the main character as it was meant to be. Watch out for the unlikely relationships that develop, and unknown flying objects.

Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker.

McClane can do anything. These stunts won't look plausible with anyone but John McClane. Great action movie.

Yippie-ki-yay motherfucker, it's an average action movie! You could've put just about any action star in the lead role (not that Willis isn't cool), the bad guys are technologically omnipotent and omniscient to a ridiculous extent, the authorities are predictably hapless, and people simply refuse to die or even get noticeably hurt even though they go through things that should've crushed every bone in their bodies. Is it entertaining as hell? Of course! Does it stand out at all? No.

FitFortDanga

A lot like any other Die Hard film, but worse. The scenario and the stunts are so over-the-top, it's as if they tried to one-up the previous movie by going bigger, rather than smarter. The dialogue is terrible, even more so than usual. And the spastic editing was annoying as hell. I counted 35 cuts in one minute, and that was a minute of nothing but expository dialogue. But overall, it's pretty much what you expect from Die Hard. Some of the special effects looked really fake.

whatismyname

Has there been a movie with plausible technology scenes? It really takes away from the movie experience.

Spunkie

Even with lowest of scum expectations and proof shuting logic engine last half hour was unbearable. The rest and one-on-ones was ok when first sentence applied.
