Spielberg's early science-fiction and adventure films were seen as an archetype of modern Hollywood blockbuster filmmaking. In later years, his films began addressing such issues as the Holocaust, slavery, war and terrorism. He is considered one of the most popular and influential filmmakers in the history of cinema. He is also one of the co-founders of the DreamWorks movie studio.

It's just predictable and boring. FitFortDanga Stupid. An unstoppable barrage of product placement. Tom Hanks lays it on way too thick, and the in-your-face multiculturalness of his little airport clique was groan-inducing. Stanley Tucci was so absurdly evil, I'm surprised he wasn't given a handlebar moustache to twirl. The movie is interesting when it stays focused on the resourcefulness of its main character... unfortunately it quickly abandons that angle to stray into more heartstring-pulling territory.
