Terminator 4... Where to begin? I am a big fan of the Terminator films and before Salvation came into being T2 was definately my favourite! That being said though this entry into the 2nd trilogy could be considered separate from the original 3.
The movie kicks off in 2018 somewhat a few years after the end of the Rise of the Machines. Connor is now looking older and much more in control. Although he doesn't have the overall authority of the human races battle against the machines, he does have a loyal following from the majority of the resistance.
This film has some pretty good special effects on the exception of the poorly rendered Arnie which for me wasn't too bad.
Storyline is solid and pretty much fits in with the snippets we have been given in the previous films.
Christian Bale once again put on a brilliant performance which was easily matched by Sam Worthington.
Overall a pretty well made film which provides the next step into the tail of man vs machne.

Beautiful photography and committed performances fail to redeem a plot that is simultaneously mawkish, soul-less and under inspired. Despite the long running time there's not much in the way of characterisation or real story development.
