The Director

Martin Scorsese
American film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and film historian Martin Marcantonio Luciano Scorsese made the short films while he attended New York University's film school; these include “What's a Nice Girl Like You Doing in a Place Like This?” (1963), “It's Not Just You, Murray!” (1964), and his most famous short of the period “The Big Shave” (1967). This film loses its composure in the sprawl, and as the runtime stretches out the characters fade into rough archetypes, losing the vital nuance that would have made them distinct. That isn't to say that there is anything wrong with the film making, just that a little brevity would have made the personalities more distinct, and in so doing delivered a stronger film.

movieboy

Good movie, but really too long. Could have edited out atleast 30 minutes from the movie.

FitFortDanga

An obvious retread of Goodfellas territory, and not as good... but still a pretty engaging film.

Stain

OK it's "Goodfellas in Las Vegas", but recycled Goodfellas is still way better than most of the other stuff out there

Esme

Immensely similar to "Goodfellas", but 5 years younger. I would rather prefer Scorsese to be more innovative. Yet there is really no reason to complain - rock music, bad language and De Niro are here. Delicious.
