a heart warming beautiful story of true love

Joseph Fiennes (Shakespeare) is a poet, deeply in need to write a new play, but creativity fails him when needed most.

Gwyneth Paltrow (Lady Viola) is a woman that is forced by circumstances to marry someone she never even met before. Faith has it that she is also the one that wins Shakespeare's heart, becoming the muse he was looking for.

The movie follows the creation of "Romeo and Juliet" in a unique new light. Although not historically correct, it is by far a greater story then the truth, one that I might even say is wordy of Shakespeare himself.

With plot twisters that will intrigue you, an exceptional cast and a director that not only understands the powerful emotion that went into the creation of the real "Romeo and Juliet" play, but also has the ability to show it to us in a humorous way, this easily became one of the greatest movies I have ever seen.
